Our Product FAQsUSING DESTINATION EDEN MAKES A DIFFERENCE At the onset of receipt of a Destination Eden product, you will begin outlining the differences. From the moment the top is removed you will experience an aroma that just doesn’t smell good in the container, but feels and smells good, lasting all day long. When the products touch your skin, you will notice that it melts. FDA only requires 1-5% of (a) butter in order to sell it as a “[Shea] Butter” product. Same resulting in barely a drop, which is lost with the alcohol, other drying agents and chemicals that combat against properly moisturizing and hydrating ingredients. Destination Eden uses no fillers and/or artificial coloring. Additionally, we make every attempt in our extensive research and purchase in obtaining ingredients both organic and natural certified. Destination Eden provides you the full benefit of having not only natural and/or organic ingredients, but a large percentage of butters, carrier oils and other optimal ingredients. This is why it is recommended to use 1/8 (of what you would normally use of other products) when applying to your skin. Further our products are high in Omega 3, Vitamin A, C, D, E & F, Oleic Acid, Palmitoleic Acid and Linoleic Acid to revitalize and restore the skins normal balance, allowing your skin to fully utilize. Therefore allowing for the process of rejuvenation and maintenance of healthy skin that feels good from outside/in, hydrating and moisturizing from the Stratum Corneum all the way to the Dermiss. Destination Eden products are designed to nurture your skin and allow your skin to soak up and pull to the deepest levels of the skin. When the butters are initially applied to skin it will look shiny for a minute or so, until it is fully absorbed into your skin. Because of the concentration of butters and oils a modified starch has been added to cut down on the oiliness. Although, the same does not apply to rich moisture treatments and body scrubs, so careful to not apply too much. Please note that body butters are modified to a creamier state from in summer months, as the heaviness is not greatly needed in warmer months. It also helps us to ship easier. While most are familiar with Shea butter and its benefits, Personal Touch By Shellie has 10 different unrefined butters with properties that are known to aid in very specific needs and benefits to the skin.
